RAMPA Berlin website terms and conditions

Welcome to our website!

RAMPA is a platform that offers support, guidance, and consultancy on a wide range of bureaucratic issues in Germany. Our professional activity is to analyse and formulate solutions to a matter or problem brought to our attention. Our focus is the complex bureaucratic processes involved in moving to and settling in Germany, and our speciality is providing pragmatic guidance to our clients to ensure that they arrive and remain safely in Germany.

RAMPA offers professional support, but sets a clear boundary in its service: it is the client’s responsibility to make any payments, meet any deadlines, uphold any verbal or written agreements, and to make themselves fully aware of how our website and services work.

The use of our website is conditional on the client’s full acceptance of the terms and conditions described here. Therefore, by accessing our website, we understand that you are aware of and in agreement with our conditions. If you do not agree to our terms and conditions, do not use this website and do not contract our services. From time to time, we make changes and adjustments to our terms and conditions, without prior notice, so make sure that you read this page carefully and periodically, in order to be aware of our most up-to-date terms and conditions.

The RAMPA team and website will always ask for your express consent before obtaining your data, establishing contact with you, or providing you with a service. If you choose to express this consent, we understand that you are aware of our privacy policy and agree to our terms and conditions.

The moment you access and use this website, you are assuming your status as a user, with the corresponding rights and obligations. We only ask for your personal information where it is essential to providing our services. We never share users’ personal information with third parties, except to comply with the law or with their full authorisation, expressed verbally or through a power of attorney.

Primary conditions for the use of this website:

You (the user) guarantee that:

1. you are of legal age and therefore have the legal autonomy to create a legal contract

2. you will comply with the terms agreed in the contract

3. you will use this website to issue legitimate information, either from yourself or on behalf of another person by whom you are legally authorised to act

4. all information provided by you is true, accurate, and up-to-date

Considering that RAMPA sells services online and considering the user’s interest in purchasing the services offered by RAMPA, the purpose of this contract is to establish the general conditions of use and purchase of services from RAMPA’s website.

Payment
50% of the full amount due to RAMPA, according to the estimate fee quoted by RAMPA, is always made by the client via bank transfer in advance of the requested service being delivered. The requested service will only be carried out upon receipt of the first of the two payment confirmations (unless previously agreed between RAMPA and the client). Once the service has been requested, the client has up to 7 days to make the first payment.

Fees
RAMPA has the right to change the prices of its services without prior notice, in line with tax increases, government actions, or other factors that influence the monetary value of RAMPA’s work.

Cancellation of services
Once a contract with RAMPA has been signed by the client, the client has up to 24 hours to request cancellation of the requested service and to terminate the contract. Otherwise, 50% of the estimate fee quoted by RAMPA must be made for the requested service.

If there is any kind of failure in RAMPA’s service or if the client is dissatisfied with the result, RAMPA are of course open to finding further solutions (including offering a refund).

Refunds
In the event of a refund, RAMPA has up to 7 working days to return the full service price to the client via bank transfer.

Service processing
Once you have made your initial payment, RAMPA will inform you of the estimated length of time needed for the requested service to be carried out. Generally speaking, the maximum time is up to 7 working days, but the average is fewer than 3 working days.

Using the plug-in to fill in forms on our website
By using our website and our services, and by entering your personal details or making your payment online, after expressing your clear consent you authorise RAMPA to register and retain your personal information solely to carry out transactions, establish and maintain contact with you, offer you our products and services, send you confirmations and updates regarding your requested services, as well as respond to your questions and comments. This consent extends to RAMPA sending you an email newsletter with news about the products and services we offer and which we believe may be of interest to you. As already described in our privacy policy, you are free to cancel or limit this communication with RAMPA at any time.

Preparing for your journey to Germany
It is the client’s responsibility to inform themselves correctly regarding prohibitions, warnings, and restrictions imposed by government authorities before travelling to international destinations: e.g. pandemic measures or carrying all the necessary documents, such as a letter of invitation. RAMPA has no influence over whether or not you get through immigration controls at European airports.

Changes and cancellations
We know that flight cancellations, delays, and unforeseen circumstances can happen, but it is not RAMPA’s responsibility to bear any costs or cancellation fees related to these. For instance, if a client misses the start of a course, has to cancel their journey to Germany, or is late for their visa interview (for whatever reason) no refund will be made for the time lost. RAMPA’s rule for any cancellations, delays, or changes defers to the company, school, or institution involved: in other words, what applies in these cases are the terms and conditions of the airline, German language school, authority, etc. concerned. RAMPA is also not responsible for any cancellations or delays caused by or related to any natural cause or force majeure, e.g.: disasters, fires, earthquakes, wars, government impositions, legal disputes, or any other reasons beyond our control.

Services provided by third parties
RAMPA works in partnership with various third parties: i.e. professionals, websites, and other companies, as well as authorities. We take full responsibility for the safety, consistency, and speed with which our own contracted services are carried out. However, we are not responsible for any breach of contract by such third parties: fees, failures, delays, damages, violations, or any other problems caused for the client by third parties are not our concern. For instance, the processing of documents by authorities, schools, universities, real estate agencies, employment agencies, insurance companies, etc. are subject to their own rules and terms and conditions, meaning RAMPA has no influence over them.

Housing and job searches
RAMPA offers clients assistance in finding housing in Berlin and the surrounding area, as well as in finding a job. We guarantee that you will undertake a realistic search, with all of the necessary documents in order for your application/s. However, RAMPA has no direct influence over the choices made by employers and real estate agents. As such, we cannot guarantee that the client will get the specific housing or job that they want, but we can ensure that they are on the right track with their search.

Health insurance
Health insurance is mandatory for the entirety of your stay in Germany, regardless of the length of your residence permit or the type of visa you hold. It is the client’s responsibility to have the appropriate health insurance in place and up-to-date. RAMPA can only advise or mediate in a client’s communications with insurance companies, but cannot guarantee admission to a particular insurance company or make payments on the client’s behalf.

Additional services
Additional services, such as airport transfers, train travel, phone contracts, medical emergencies, enrolment fees, etc., are not included in the fees RAMPA charge and are not our responsibility, unless explicitly requested and agreed via a signed contract between the client and RAMPA.

Deportation, arrest, and expulsion
Anyone using the services of or linked to RAMPA who commits an offence (such as working or staying in Germany illegally, committing vandalism, being expelled from their school or college, not paying their tuition fees, getting into debt, etc.) must bear the corresponding penalties themselves and answer for their own actions. RAMPA is not responsible for the illegal actions of its clients, and does not issue any refunds or pay any fines related to them. RAMPA may recommend specialised lawyers and/or mediate communications with German companies and authorities.

Liability
RAMPA assumes fundamental responsibilities with regard to clients and the services we offer to them. It is the full responsibility of the RAMPA team to provide a confidential, transparent, respectful, succinct, agile, truthful, and coherent service. We reaffirm here our commitment to offering a fair and non-judgemental space for all clients and prospective clients, with regard to their gender, race, ethnicity, place of origin, and/or financial situation. Everything under our jurisdiction and that happens within RAMPA’s sphere is our sole responsibility. RAMPA reaffirms its commitment to inclusivity and responsibility for its actions, including the effective fulfilment of the services contracted. We also take full responsibility for any faults caused by us, and will always seek the best solution for our clients. The RAMPA team are always open to acknowledging their mistakes and to engaging in respectful, solution-oriented dialogue.
